Formed in January 2003 the band is leaded by the one of most beautiful voices in Latvia and a real songwriting talent – Mara Upmane. The debut album entitled “Kuš Kuš” was released in November 2006 and has delivered decent selling results in Latvian market. The album presentation concert was a big success bringing 1 500 people and all the best feedback in media. Until now Astro’n’out has performed over 150 live concerts, released 2 videos and written musical themes for two documentaries – “Riga, mana Riga” (Riga, my Riga, produced by Avantis) and “NeStastamie stasti” (Untellable stories). Some of the biggest achievements so far: Three nominations in annual national music awards with “Dala Rigas” – “Best video”, “Best rock song” and “Best new act”. From the late summer of 2005 until now Astro’n’out has released 4 radio singles. The breakthrough single “Dala Rigas” reaches 2nd position in Latvian airplay chart though becomes No. 1 in two radio stations – SWH (which is the most biggest and powerful commercial radio in Latvia) and Rietumu Radio. Second single “Tanki” reaches 3rd position in Latvian airplay chart though being No. 1 in Rietumu Radio and Radio 1. Single “Ne Gravitatei” also has reached 2nd airplay position and the video just entered the MTV Baltic Top and is regularly shown on MTV Baltic as well as all other TV stations in Latvia.
