Rose Luqiu won numerous awards, became the model for Chinese journalists

Phoenix reporter Rose Luqiu must surely be a role model for all Chinese journalists. Known for being open to challenges and taking daring risks in her stride, Rose Luqiu has traveled into the heart of war zones, breaking what is traditionally seen as a male role in war coverage. Rose Luqiu was the first Chinese journalist to enter Baghdad in 2003 to report the war in Iraq.

Not surprisingly, she has won the "Reporter of The Year" presented by Sohu for her outstanding reportage of the war in Iraq. In 2003, she also received Fudan University's Headmaster's Award.

Selected as one of the twenty "Most Envious Chinese women" by Rainbow and France's Madame Figaro Magazine, Rose Luqiu is also recognized as one of the "Most Influential Chinese women" both at home and abroad by China Women Magazine in 2003.

Rose Luqiu's name is also mentioned in the Chinese edition of Forbes: First China's Top 100 Celebrity Chart 2004.

Rose Luqiu's Reporting Journal, was awarded the 2nd Zheng Tai China Reporting Literature Award. The judging panel, consisting of nationally renowned writers and literature critics, evaluated reportage nationwide in the year 2001 to 2002, selecting ten outstanding and award-winning pieces of work.
