Forbes China's Top 100 Celebrity Chart: Chen Lu Yu, Rose Luqiu made the list
 
In February 2004, Forbes Chinese edition launched China's Top 100 Celebrity Chart for the very first time. Phoenix TV's popular presenter Chen Lu Yu and journalist Rose Luqiu both made it to the list, at 76th and 96th positions respectively.

As with The World's Celebrity Chart, China's Top 100 Celebrity Chart evaluates candidates in terms of each individual's media exposure: the number of times they are reported on newspaper, TV, magazines, and the internet; the number of times they appear in TV interviews and on magazine covers. Also taken into account are their ranks with regard to their estimated incomes. Sixteen magazines published in China in 2003 were included in the evaluation. Criteria for candidates is that they must be born in China, with professions such as film, sports, publishing, writing, broadcast and communication. Yao Ming, known as The Little Giant of the United States NBA Rockets, topped the chart.

Forbes announed a World Celebrity Chart in 1999 for the first time, which evaluates and comments 100 celebrities and their professional performance, thus providing an objective reference to their credibility and commercial value.
