Phoenix, valued at 22.83 billion and ranked 23rd in the list, is one of the two media corporations made to top 50, running only second to CCTV.
In conjunction with World Economic Forum, World Brand Laboratory has organised the award for the first time in China. A total of 27 trades, including household electronic appliances, garment, food and beverage, were covered. Forty media brands, such as "Shenzhen Special Zone Newspaper", "Nanfang Daily" and "Global Journal" hit the top 500.
Yet, only two of them -Phoenix and CCTV - made it to the top 50.
Professor Robert Mundell, the 1999 Nobel laureate in Economic Science, presented the awards to the winning corporations in the ceremony. He expressed his wish to see more Chinese brands shine and stand out on the world stage. |
