Phoenix Chinese and InfoNews channels will be broadcast on PCCW's NOW Broadband TV on channels 67 and 66 respectively alongside other reputable channels such as National Geographic and Star Movies, commencing on 17 August 2004. The partnership is a timely strategic move to multiply the reach and impact of Phoenix.
Phoenix expects that the arrangement will enable the two channels to cater to a wider local audience and deepen the penetration of the Hong Kong market. NOW Broadband TV currently serves over 340,000 customers.
In Hong Kong, the Phoenix Chinese Channel currently reaches over 700,000 households via satellite transmission, while Phoenix InfoNews Channel serves over 600,000 subscribers on Cable TV's Channel 79.
