Phoenix Made a Caring Trip to Henan AIDS-infected area

A Phoenix crew led by Mr. Liu Changle made a trip in late August to the AIDS-infected Henan, visiting orphans, donating facilities, and checking out the latest progress of the AIDS prevention campaign in response to the call made by the Secretary General of the United Nation, Mr. Kofi. Annan.

Mr. Liu is deeply touched by the selfless devotion evident in the life-saving action of workers as the death rate is dropping to a normal level. Medicals and officials across all ranks have obviously done a great job in checking the spread of the deadly virus.  Mr. Liu believed the media should give a real reflection of the situation and do their best to help relieve the gravity and magnitude of the problems.

Phoenix is the first non-China-based broadcaster to have visited the infected village.  The crew paid visits to the hospitals, the families of the victims, got to know the medication taken and the sufferings and difficulties faced by the patients.

When it comes to social care and humanitarian concern, Phoenix never hesitates to contribute our parts.
